Frequently asked questions
Is the free scan complete?
Yes. Findings are not hidden behind payment. The paid pass is for the workflow and export layer around a submission.
I was rejected. What does the pass actually tell me?
Enter the two-word code Chrome sent you, for example Purple Potassium. ExtensionGate maps it to the rules that produce evidence for that violation, shows the findings in your package a reviewer could cite, marks which submission answers your appeal depends on, and states plainly when a code covers behaviour static analysis cannot observe.
Are the generated drafts safe to submit as written?
No. Drafts are grounded in what the scan observed, and every part ExtensionGate cannot know is marked with a [confirm: …]placeholder you must replace. Export is blocked until you confirm you reviewed them.
Is continuous repository scanning included?
No. It is planned and not built. Nothing about it is part of the $19 Release Pass, there is no release date, and it may ship separately or not at all. Buy the pass only for what it does today: the rejection triage, generated drafts, mismatch detection, and packet export described above.
When do the 30 days begin?
The planned pass begins when Stripe confirms successful payment. The exact expiration timestamp appears in the activation flow and entitlement status.
Does a pass guarantee store approval?
No. ExtensionGate provides static evidence and preparation tools. Chrome, Microsoft, and their reviewers make store decisions.
Does the pass renew?
No. The planned product is one $19 payment for a 30-day project window, with no subscription or automatic renewal.
Can I restore it on another device?
The planned flow sends a short-lived activation link to the checkout email when an active pass exists. Previous reports are not restored because ExtensionGate does not store them.
Are reports stored?
No. ZIP bytes, source, findings, answers, and packets remain in the browser and are ephemeral by default. Export anything you want to keep.
What happens after expiration?
Paid comparison, questionnaire, and packet tools lock again. The complete one-store local preflight remains free.
What is the refund policy?
A 14-day usefulness refund is proposed, but legal review, jurisdiction, and operational details are unfinished. The final policy will be published before checkout opens.
Is tax included?
Tax display and collection are not configured. The final checkout will show the actual amount before payment once seller registrations and Stripe Tax settings are verified.
Can I buy it now?
Yes, after completing a local report. Checkout opens in a separate tab so this report stays available for activation.
Is Firefox supported?
No. The current scanner profiles and public rules cover Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons only.
